Day 3

On Friday we started the day with a group prompt. Ms. Bowman tasked us with taking a fairytale and creating a look for our parnter, we would then apply our makeup look to our partner. Sopiha Watts and Sophia O’Heron chose to do Snowhite and The Evil Queen, using eye brow blocking to create Sophia W’s look and the icicle gell to create Sophia O’s look. The concept was meant to be a combination of the Snow Queen’s story and Snowhite. Sophia W’s look was based off of the Evil Queen from Disney’s animated Snowhite movie, whereas Sophia O’s look is meant to look as if she were froze due to the Snow Queen.

The next concept and group was Kat and Sabrina, who chose to take Hansel and Gretel and reimagine it in a more horror way. The concept was to have Hansel and Gretel turning to candy, as if that was what would happen if they were to stay with the witch. For Kat’s look, Sabrina used scar wax to create gumdrops emerging from the skin and a candycane doing the same. For Sabrina’s look Kat painted candy elements and tears. Lastly, the two looks share cartoonish eyebrows to communicate the character’s sibling relationship.

The last look and group was Jayla and Sonieya who chose a cyborg Tinkerbell look. They did a half and half look, in which, one side has circuitry made from metalic power converted to paint for optimal opacity and the other half is a more natural looking Tinker Bell face. Jayla’s Tinkerbell has contour that indicates a sickly state and Soneiya’s has eyeliner that resembles wings. The two looks share a Tinkerbell green eyeshadow as well.

In the afternoon Sophia O. taught us how to use scar wax and we all made wounds on the inside of our arm. We used scar wax to mold the shape we wanted and then create irritation colors with out bruise wheel. The last step was to add the fake blood in the center. From left to right this is whose scar is whose:
